Dr. Brian Chad Starks

Dr. B. Chad Starks has more than two decades of experience working in the areas of criminal justice and education. He has worked as a Drug and Alcohol Abuse Prevention Specialist, a Juvenile Drug Court Coordinator, and a licensed bail bondsman owning his own bonding company for seven years.
Dr. Starks holds a Master’s degree in Criminal Justice from the University of South Carolina and a doctorate in Criminology from the University of Delaware. He has been on the faculty at Lynchburg College in Lynchburg, Virginia, Delaware State University, and Benedict College in Columbia, South Carolina and has also taught courses at the University of Delaware and Wofford College, including several service-learning courses which connected students with local communities for outreach.
